The Simpson Desert Trip Planning Map is designed to assist in planning for one of Australia’s great desert experiences.

The Simpson Desert is the world’s largest parallel sand dune desert and is approximately 150,000 square kilometres in area. It is a land of extremes, where rain-soaked dunes will quickly flourish with ephemeral flowers then soon return to a parched and arid land.
