Hyde is a Thylacine or Tasmanian Tiger. He has fond memories of the past, when Tasmania was called lutruwita, and the palawa people were the only humans.

He talks about the old times, sharing tales of daring escapes from hunters.

He is rather mysterious. His friends only know he lives SOMEWHERE in the ancient forests.
