Description
Early Motor Touring in Tasmania
Ever since Tasmania was first settled there were men that explored all parts of the State. With these explorations they opened up the country to all manner of beauty spots that later became tourist attractions and groups set out on horse back to view these locations. As time went on and the motor car came into vogue, many took to touring the State not only on the main roads but also on bush tracks. This was the start of the motoring tourist.
This book contains photos from the 1800s to the 1960s of all manner of cars, coaches, trains, ships and aeroplanes that helped to build the tourist industry we see today.
