Cycling the Route des Grandes Alpes

Guidebook to cycling the 720km Route des Grandes Alpes through south-eastern France. The route starts at Lake Geneva and travels through to Mediterranean Nice via numerous high Alpine passes, taking in the Vanoise, Ecrins and Mercantour National Parks. Though the route is challenging, it is entirely on roads. With plenty of charging points, it is also well suited to e-bikes.
