AuthaGraph World Map
The AuthaGraph world map is based a modern design created by Japanese architect Hajime Narukawa. Although not a true equal-area map, it represents the relative sizes and shapes of countries and continents as accurately as possible.
A sequence of images below the main map explains how the projection is created. This involves dividing a spherical surface into 96 equal triangles, projecting these triangles onto a tetrahedron, and then unfolding the tetrahedron to form a rectangle.
The map is printed in full colour and silver and comes rolled in a tube for easy shipping.
