Using the roamer

In the example image above:

1. Select the correct roamer triangle for your scale of map
2. Place the bottom horizontal edge of the roamer triangle on the Northing line
3. Keeping that line on the northing, slide across until the vertical, right edge of the roamer triangle is on the desired location – In the image it’s the 739 spot height
4. Read coordinates, eastings then northings – in the example image here, the MGRS Grid Location of the 739 Spot Height is 6260 9625
